Not a fan of Burleson High School. It's like trying to speak to the President when trying to contact them and when you Do get hold of someone they hurry you out like they have no time for you. But When they have a problem with your kid They expect you to drop everything and rush To them. The athletic coached LIE to the Parents and students in order to get them To participate in certain things they otherwise would not do...

BHS is a great school. My son did not especially like school coming out of middle school, but now loves the learning experience. He takes AP classes, participates in sports and has good friends. The teachers are great, keeping us informed of his progress and seem to genuinely care about the kids. A lot of this is probably attributable to the opening of Centennial High School. It cut the student population in half and the school is no longer overcrowded. The 'new' Principal seems to have made a difference, providing steady leadership.

BHS has really caring teachers, lots of activities for students to be involved in, very good administration and is a fantastic place to be now that it is no longer overcrowded. I am so pleased with the changes in this school over the last 2 years, I would recommend it to any family.

This waas a good school. I think that they have gone a little over board with lunches now. They now have glass doors that go around the lunch room to prevent kids from going off campus and or skipping class to go vist friends at lunch. I personally think its a bit extreme but other than that I enjoyed my four years there.

I had a very positive experience at Burleson HS The teachers were knowledgeable, as well as skilled imparters of that knowledge . Parents were encouraged to be involved and were kept informed of the progress of their children. I felt safe and proud to be at Burleson HS and cherish only good memories of my high school experience.

Coming from a rural school to Burleson... I'm extremely satisfied with the school, and school district. So many extra curricular activities.

Our experience with Burleson High School was terrible. I cant remember one positive outcome. My children werent ecouraged in anyway to attend college even though one had been in the gifted program all through school. Whenever I tried to speak with anyone about problems we were having we were dismissed by the administrators and teachers. I tried to speak with counselors and they were useless. I am very disappointed in the experience we had there. Fortunately my children have done fine after school, but it wasnt due to help we received from the school. They were more of a hindrance than a help.

My daughter thoroughly enjoyed BHS and her grades - which had been b's and c's at north crowley high school became a's. The kids were all generally very good kids - the drama was so much less. I wish we had moved to Burleson sooner.

This school is absalutly terrible. The teachers and office staff do not care about the students. They give very harsh punishments for very little things not caring how the punishment may affect a students life. the classes are all packed full and esspecialy the hallways. this is a terrible school, i recommend you don't even give this place a shot.

Several individuals have hit the nail on the head. This schools administration is very top heavy and in goose step with the good old boy system. Due process for the protection of the student is non existent except on paper. The athletic director (see comment above). Academically, if you as a student are disciplined you can get a good education. Get out while you can.

This school may offer AP classes and many sports, but the teachers and especially the teachers do not care about the students. Standardized tests are the primary concern for administrators, not student happiness.

The teachers are a great asset to the school. The teachers here actually push their students to learn not just be stagnant. Overall Good school.

Although we are extremely bad at every sport ever played (except softball), our teachers are some of the finest teachers in the nation. Burleson is a fine place to live and the district is excellent.

Burleson offers many great opportunities for students though extracuricular activities and advanced classes. Like many other schools there are great, good, and bad teachers. Overall I am proud to be involved with Burleson. But there are times I am disappointed with discipline issues. I've noticed during the 2005-2006 school year that the children who misbehave are treated with more leniency than the students who do behave and are the cream of the crop. This will hopefull be taken to heart this year by the principal and staff.
